I had a few cases of food poisoning in my days in the scouts when the person cooking wanted to get it done faster than thoroughly, so I'm conditioned to well done. I like the darker taste to it. Besides if you have a good place to go for steak (The Pub in Pennsauken is THE BEST) then don't worry about the level of steak style.

I got poisoning once too, worst damned night of my life.

Let me entertain yo Corgana.

So on this trip we were doing BBQ food, burgers, cheap steaks, and hot dogs. Our stupid Scout Master at the time jumps on the grill cause he says the kids cooking them too slow and he rushes the food. So later that night i feel sick so i run for the tree line of the field were camping in. the rest of the kids were playing a mix between flashlight tag and squirting water bottles at eachother. Alex comes over and is lie " Dave you ok?" shines the light on me as he does a projective vomit out to the woods he yells " Holy shit its pink!"

"A few years later we took a trip out to Western Pennsylvania to go cave climbing. We got Burger King Burgers. It was a mix between the food and the swirvy roads that got me sick. So we pull over. As im getting ready to vomit, a cop pulls up. He shines the light on his car " You ok, son?" as I vomit. He says "Well what do we have here?"

Now i just eat well-done.

Any decent chef will tell you that med-rare is the best temperature to cook a steak. It lets you get a more natural taste along with reducing the risk of any food poisoning. The tricky part is with fillets or tenderloin cuts. You should always order one temperature level above what you'd usually get.

Attn. Fluff: Having the steak marinate in coke lets the meat to soak it up and it gets a kind of sugary/syrupy sauce, without it actually being saucy. I wouldn't recommend it personally since the few times I've tried it, it hasn't turned out that great.
